Upload assistance lets the Eagle 3D Streaming servers fetch your build from a link - Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Box or your own server - instead of uploading it from your computer. A slow or unstable home connection does not matter: the build travels between servers, and is then checked and test-launched like any upload.
| Your situation | Best way |
|---|---|
| Fast, stable connection | Upload from the Control Panel as usual |
| The build is already on Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive or Box | Upload assistance - nothing is sent again from your computer |
| Uploads stop partway, or the Connection test is slow or failing at every step | Upload assistance |
| The build is on a computer with no cloud folder | Upload from the Control Panel; if it stops, choose the same file again and press Continue upload (Your Projects) |
The page shows each link's progress, step by step:
| Step | What our servers do |
|---|---|
| Checking the link | Make sure the link opens and points to a file, and find its size |
| Storage check | Compare the size with your free storage - a build that cannot fit stops here with "Not enough storage: the build needs X, Y GB is free" |
| Downloading from your link | Fetch the zip from the link |
| Checking the zip | The same checks as an upload from the Control Panel |
| Uploading to your storage | Send the build to the Eagle 3D Streaming storage |
| Test launch | Unpack and start the build once, as every upload is |
| Ready | The build appears in your build list and can be streamed |
You can close the page; the work continues on our servers. If a step fails, the page says which step and why.
Write to (Email / Discord) with the app name and the time you started. The support team can see each step of your link upload.
