Change Username (Old Control Panel)

Learn how to change or remove your username from your E3DS Account.

Warning ❌ 🚫

Changing the username or removing it will cause you to loose all of your Apps and Configs.

Prerequisites

For this document, you need :

1. Access to the Control Panel ;

2. A user Account.

Instructions

Step 1. Login to the Control Panel

Click here to login.

Step 2. Click Account

Step 3. Click Change Username

Step 4. Get to the Edit Profile page

You can click this Link to get to the Edit Profile Page manually.

At this point, you can either Change the Username or Remove it.

4.1. Change Username

a. Type the New username to be associated with your Email in the appropriate Field

Note : You cannot change the Email address. Only the username changes.

b. Click Change Username in the Edit Profile page

c. Get the Notification asking you to proceed

d. You will be redirected to the Sign up page of the new Control Panel with your new username

4.2. Remove Username

Usually you remove your username from your Account if you need to dissociate from it.

🛑 Removing your username will cause you to lose all your Apps on that Account.

Warning ❌ 🚫

If you need to change the mail associated to your Account then you should :

1. remove the Username to dissociate your Account from it.

2. Transfer the Ownership of your Account to another mail (See this document to get more details).

a. Click Remove Username in the Edit Profile page

b. Get the Notification popup confirming to proceed

c. Get redirected to the Sign in page

d. Create a New username for your Account from the Username Entry page

Usernames are case sensitive and should only contain letters and numbers (No special characters, dashes or spaces allowed).
