Metaverse Pixel Streaming
Metaverse Pixel Streaming follows the same Pixel Streaming workflow as Multiplayer Streaming.
Any Unreal Engine application built as a persistent, shared virtual world can be uploaded and streamed directly without additional configuration.
If your metaverse build supports:
Multiple concurrent users
Shared world state
it is compatible with Pixel Streaming on Eagle 3D Streaming.
For setup and deployment details, refer to:
Getting Started with Multiplayer Streaming
Metaverse vs Multiplayer Streaming
Aspect | Multiplayer Streaming | Metaverse Streaming |
|---|---|---|
Experience type | Session-based | Persistent world |
Session lifetime | Match / session-based | Long-running or always-on |
World persistence | Limited | Core requirement |
User identity | Player-centric | Avatar-centric |
Social interaction | During gameplay | Continuous |
Backend complexity | Moderate | Higher |
Pixel Streaming flow | Standard | Same as Multiplayer |
Summary
Metaverse experiences are treated as long-running multiplayer applications. The same upload, launch, and Pixel Streaming pipeline applies.
