Your Projects is the first page of the Control Panel. A project is the link you share: it runs one of your uploaded builds, with its own name, picture, details and viewer settings. The project and the build each have their own name, so you can change the build behind a project without uploading anything new.
| build | project | |
|---|---|---|
| what it is | your packaged app, uploaded as a zip | a link to share, running one build |
| its name | the name you upload it under | the name you give the project |
| its settings | none | picture, details, Active / Inactive, viewer settings |
| how many | one per app | as many as you like, each running any of your builds |
A project's link looks like this:
https://connector.eagle3dstreaming.com/v5/your-username/build/project.
Because the build and project names are part of it, renaming the project or choosing another build gives the project a
new link (see section 4).
Your apps and their links from before Projects are still under Streaming Apps (Legacy) in the menu, and keep working as they did.
If you chose a picture, it is uploaded first, with a progress bar in the window, and the project is created as soon as the picture is stored. If the picture cannot be uploaded (for example the connection drops), the project is not created yet and the window tells you why. You can then Choose another picture or Create without picture.
A new project starts Active, with the standard viewer settings, and its settings page opens so you can adjust them.
Each row shows the picture, the Active tick, the project name, its build, when it was created and its details, with these buttons:
| button | what it does |
|---|---|
| Copy link | copies the project's link, ready to share |
| Open | opens the link in a new tab, to try it yourself |
| Edit | opens the project's settings page (section 4) |
| bin icon | deletes the project, after asking: its settings are deleted and its link stops working. Its build stays uploaded. |
Search finds projects by name, build or details. Sort by: Name (A-Z), Newest first, Oldest first or Active first.
Tick or untick Active on a row. You are asked to confirm, and the change is saved at once — there is no Save button for it.
| state | what a viewer opening the link sees |
|---|---|
| Active | the app streams, as usual |
| Inactive | the page "Url Expired"; nothing streams. Make it Active again and the same link works again. |
| Off because its build was deleted | "Url Expired". Choose another build on the project's settings page to turn it back on. |
Tick the box at the left of the rows you want, or Select all. Then Make active or Make inactive: the confirmation lists exactly the projects that will change. Clear removes the ticks.
Press Edit on a project. Everything on this page is saved with Save at the bottom, except the Active switch, which asks you to confirm and is saved at once (as on the list).
| what you change | what happens |
|---|---|
| Name (Rename) | saved at once. The link changes — share the new one; the old link stops working. |
| Build | choose another of your builds, or upload a new one into this project. Saved with Save. The link changes, because the build's name is part of it. |
| Picture, Details | saved with Save; the link stays the same. |
| Active / Inactive | asks first, saved at once; the link stays the same. |
| Viewer experience | the viewer settings for this project's link (link expiry, password, session time and the rest), the same settings as an app configuration. Saved with Save. |
Copy settings copies the viewer settings of another of your projects into this one. Check them, then press Save. The project's name, build, picture, details and link are not copied.
If you leave the page with unsaved changes, you are asked whether to leave without saving.
