Free up storage: delete old versions and builds

When your storage is full, delete old versions or whole builds you no longer need. This page shows where to do it. To free space you never need to delete your account — that removes everything, including your plan and your stream links.

Open the Storage page

  1. In the Control Panel, look at the Storage tile at the bottom of the sidebar. It shows how much of your storage is used.
  2. Click the tile. The Storage page opens.

See what uses the space

Under What uses the space every uploaded build is listed, biggest first, with the size of each version and the projects that run it. You can search for a build, and sort or group the list. Open a build to see all its versions.

Delete an old version

  1. Open the build and find the version you no longer need.
  2. Press Delete next to that version and confirm with Delete version.

The newest version of a build cannot be deleted on its own — your links and projects play it. It goes only together with the whole build.

Delete a whole build

  1. Press Delete build on the build's line.
  2. If projects use that build, choose what happens to them: keep them (they are turned off until you pick another build for them) or delete them too.
  3. Confirm. The build and all its versions are removed and the space is free.
Deleting a build cannot be undone

Links that play this build stop working. If you only want to replace a build with a corrected one, upload the new one as a new version instead — see Apps and versions.

Using Streaming Apps (legacy)?

On the Streaming Apps page each app card has the same actions: the delete button next to the version dropdown removes one version, and Delete App removes the app with all its versions. Details: Apps and versions.
